Why Don’t I Have the Desire?

When I ask my clients what stops them from looking and feeling their best, the second of the four most common stop signs I hear is, “I just don’t seem to have the desire.”

The desire they are speaking of here is the desire to actually practice the principles of healthy living. It is important to note the difference between the desire to look and feel our best and the desire to invest the time and energy required to achieve those results.

So where does the desire to nurture our health come from? It comes from recognizing the role our health plays in fulfilling our life’s desire or our purpose—ultimately enhancing our lives and our world.

When discussing this concept with my clients, I use the following analogy: Our bodies are the vehicles we use as we navigate our journey through life. How we care for that vehicle will, in large part, determine the destinations we can reach, the speed at which we can travel, and the comfort and joy we will experience along the way.

Just as our vehicles require fuel, new tires, regular maintenance, and upkeep, so do our bodies. Optimizing the performance and longevity of our transport vehicle through life requires that we embrace the principles of healthy living.

And the GO Doctor can help you accomplish that!
